Late Arrivals and Early Departures

LATE ARRIVALS AND EARLY DEPARTURES

Over the past year we have been updating our schools data base in line with Education Queensland procedures. One of the major changes is the way Student Attendance Rolls are marked each day. These updated procedures include electronically recording and tracking of student attendances.

From Term 4 Kruger State School will move to different processes for Late Arrivals and Early Departures. At the September Parents & Citizens Meeting these processes were discussed and endorsed by the Kruger State School P&C.

From Term 4 we will trial/transition:

Ø   Late Arrivals to school
From Term 4 all students who arrive at school after the class teacher has marked the Attendance Roll (at approx. 8.30) will have to go to the office to get their name marked on the Roll and receive a late slip to give to the teacher.

Ø   Early Departures from school
Early departure processes will be available for emergencies only.  Adults collecting students during school time will need to come to the office, be on our data base and present photo ID.
Early departure will close at 2.15pm. By the time the office processes the Early Departure and students are collected from classes the end of day bell would be about to ring. Also the last 15 mins of the day is very busy with the winding up of the day and the preparations for the following day.
To support Education Queensland’s Every Minute Counts initiative and for the smooth running of the school I thank you for your support of the above procedures.
