This Term students got engaged in extending listening skills and decoding some language structures through German language.

The similarities between English and German language, especially some grammar rules, help students gain an understanding of how languages work and extend their literacy knowledge in English.
All this is achieved through subtle use of listening and pronouncing of sounds sets of skills in a language, structuring new sentences and critically viewing and analysing existing sentences.
Students have done their first translations using the ICTs and basic cultural knowledge in Term 1.
I am very proud of their efforts and we are looking forward to using our skills in producing new projects this, namely, students will create their first virtual Avatars. These Avatars will be described using German Language as a full page with a picture and printed out as an assessment. The enthusiasm for this project has been great and we hope to produce some great results. The websites used are: www.clayyourself.com and www.voki.com.  Feel  free to check them out!
