9/03/2016

Kruger says Bullying is NOT OK!

On Friday the 18th of March, our school will stand together with numerous other schools across Australia to send a powerful message that bullying and violence is never ok.

At our school, we aim to create a safe and supportive school community for everyone.

So, on March 18th we’re asking the entire Kruger Team to wear orange and take a stand.

The most creative orange outfits will be in the running for prizes!

You are an important part of our work to prevent bullying and to respond effectively if it happens.

Stopping bullying involves EVERYONE.

If your child talks to you about bullying:

  1. Listen calmly to get the full story.
  2. Reassure your child that they are not to blame.
  3. Ask your child what they want to do about it and how you can help.
  4. Visit www.bullyingnoway.gov.au to find some strategies.
  5. Contact the school.
  6. Check-in regularly with your child.

Is It Bullying?

When someone says or does something unintentionally

hurtful, that's...

RUDE

When some says or does something intentionally

hurtful, that's...

MEAN

When someone says or does something intentionally

hurtful and they keep doing it, even when you tell

them to stop or show them that you are upset, that's...

BULLYING

AND THAT'S NOT OK.

Problem Solving

If there is a problem with bullying in the playground or in

the classroom, you need to report it.

RIGHT THERE, RIGHT THEN.
